Two thirds way through Master of Biostatistics course at University of Melbourne.

I am a senior staff anaesthetist at St.Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne, Victoria. Currently I am a member of the Court of Examiners for the Part II FANZCA, a member of the Steering Committee of the Postgraduate Diploma in Perioperative and Critical Care Echocardiography, University of Melbourne and on the executive of the CVP (Cardiovascular and Perfusion) Special Interest Group of the Society and College of Anaesthetists.  I have special interests (clinical and research) in cardiac anaesthesia, transoesophageal echocardiography, perfusion, myocardial ischaemia, peri-operative beta-blockade and use of antifibrinolytic agents.  I trained in TOE in the USA in the early nineties and passed the National Board of Echocardiography Perioperative TOE Examination.  I have a number of publications in this area and have lectured widely on perioperative TOE in Australia.
